Howard County has been home for most of my life. Raised in Ellicott City, I graduated from Mt. Hebron and remained there until my mid 20s. I've been a resident of Western Howard County since the late 1990s. For the seven years between homes in Howard County, Otterbein/Federal Hill in Baltimore City was home. During my career, I've worked in Towson, Severna Park, Rockville, Hunt Valley, Owings Mills, Frederick and downtown Baltimore. I know Howard County, Baltimore and the adjacent local markets as well as anyone in the business, which is a critical and valuable resource in a Realtor.

My career in real estate spans close to 25 years. I've represented buyers and sellers in hundreds of real estate transactions ranging from $100,000 condos to multi-million dollar commercial, multi-family and healthcare properties. Eight years ago, I elected to focus exclusively on residential real estate, helping people buy and sell homes in and around Baltimore and Howard County.

In addition to my wealth of local market knowledge and hands-on experience, I believe on-going training and education are important in maintaining the technical skills required to provide superior representation and service. So, I continue to invest hundreds of hours in high-level programs such as:

  • Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI). The GRI program, which requires 150 hours of advanced training, has been completed by less than 10% of Realtors. It includes highly specialized training in topics such as advanced financing, environmental issues, technology, taxes, pricing, property marketing and contract law.
  • Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR). This 3-day program provides detailed training in needs assessment, property selection, foreclosures and short sales, traditional and non-traditional financing, pricing, contract law and buyer agency.
  • Certified Staging Professional (CSP). Preparing your home to show well is one of the two most important components of selling a home. I believe staging is a process and can't be done right in 1-2 visits from a home stager. So, I gained the formal training to accompany my years of experience so I can stage your home effectively in the beginning and respond to buyer feedback during the sale process.
  • Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). This program focuses on the tax, lifestyle and estate issues that arise when retired and pre-retirement individuals sell real property.

When I'm not working on real estate transactions, I'm involved with local politics, community organizations and my two children who attend Howard County public schools and participate in many of the superb sports and cultural programs throughout our community. I'm a founder of three organizations involved in business networking and economic development and sit on the Boards of various other non-profit groups. This involvement adds to my insight into the local market and gives me an opportunity to help Howard County remain one of the most desired places to live in the Country.

Brent moved to Howard County over twenty years ago, where he grew up in Columbia and graduated from Wilde Lake High School. He currently lives in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore City. Brent has tremendous local knowledge of Howard County and Baltimore's waterfront neighborhoods from Canton to Locust Point, adding valuable insight to your real estate decisions.

As an experienced Realtor, Brent supports individuals in the sale, purchase and rental of their homes.
